- How-tos and comparisons show when their prices and steps were last checked; guides show when they were last reviewed. We re-check whole cities on a regular cycle and bump the date only when we have actually verified the content.

- Bureaucratic steps (tax numbers, residence registration, visas) are checked against the government office that runs them. Where the official process and what actually happens at the counter differ, we say so.
- Plain verdicts
- Provider comparisons mark each option We recommend, Fine or Skip, with the reasoning and the trade-offs next to it, so you can disagree with us on your own terms.
- Paid placement is labelled
- Featured directory listings and chosen partners are always marked as such on the page.
